Britain Protests Poland's LGBTQ Policies

27 images Created 15 Aug 2020

After the polish government arrested a non-binary person on Aug. 7, which underscores the growing crackdown against LGBTQ activists in Poland, Polish Rainbow UK is organising protests across the country. Yarek Kubiak, the founder of the organisation spoke to an audience of protestors in front of the Polish Embassy in London and demanded the immediate release of Margot Szutowicz nd the rest of the activists. Protestors are asking their human rights to be respected by law in Poland.
Szutowicz who uses female pronouns, and nearly 50 other activists were arrested in Warsaw, the country’s capital, while protesting Szutowicz’s imminent arrest for allegedly causing damage to a truck promoting anti-LGBTQ messages and assaulting a pro-life demonstrator on June 2.
